The production of Douglas fir for timber in construction in Limousin is of specific interest as an important part of the resource from plantation campaigns in the seventies are now coming to maturity for harvesting. The steps of forestry, harvesting, sawmill and structural timber products manufacturing will be included into the case study, in the objective of utilization for agricultural and industrial buildings construction. The products will be either solid wood or glulam based. The reference products for these uses will be considered among concrete and steel product value chains in France.
